Audio-Video License Clearance System

Turnford built and implemented a secure web-based system for approving the licensing of sound recordings and music videos.

It provides access for administrators, requesting parties (licensees) and copyright owners (licensors) such as record companies.

Licensees request the use of Audio and Video performances using an online facility to search a database containing details of over 4,000,000 recordings. These requests are presented to the appropriate licensors who own the rights to the recordings. The requests can then be approved or denied and the licensee automatically informed.

The implementation of this system reduced the amount of administration time required and the turnaround time for approvals.
